6th FORUM ON COMPANION ANIMAL MEDICINE

Dear Colleagues,

The Hellenic Companion Animal Veterinary Society organizes and invites you to the 6th FORUM on Companion Animal Medicine.

As every spring, this year as well, from the 13th to the 15th of March 2015, will be held, this time in Athens, the Veterinary Scientific Event of the country.
The 6th Forum will take place at the HELEXPO Exhibition & Conference Center the largest conference center of the city, with main topic: “The Chronic Patient: a contemporary challenge”. At the same time, two Pre-Conference Seminars are organized with the topics: “Suturing lab” and “Echocardiography in clinical practice – practical training” while there will be an Intra-Conference day of Dermatology by H.S.V.D.
With three parallel-operating conference rooms, simultaneous translations and an exhibition area of 1.000 m2, the conference is addressed to Greek as well as foreign congress participants, exhibitors and sponsors.
Introducing innovation once more, HCAVS will be addressed to the colleagues and sponsors of the Balkan and Eastern Mediterranean countries, inaugurating a truly international Veterinary Congress and hoping that the FORUM will gradually become a scientific event of the wider region.
Taking advantage of their experience, the Organizational and the Scientific Committees will pay any effort possible for the impeccable organization of the Congress. The absolute success is defined though, by the number of the participants, the quality of the lectures, the participation of the sponsors and the excitement and the strong will of all of us to support scientific events of this level.
In this context, we invite and look forward to meeting you on the 13th to 15th of March, 2015, at the 6th Forum in Athens in order to experience a different scientific conference with quality and surprises

USEFUL INFORMATIONS

 

6th Forum Secretariat

The Secretariat will operate at the conference area of HELEXPO (39, Kifissias Ave., 151 23 Maroussi) throughout the 6th Forum.

Speakers’ Reception Booth

Throughout the term of the 6th FORUM, a speakers’ reception booth will be available. The speakers are kindly requested to deliver their presentations on USB stick or external hard disc, at least one hour before their scheduled lecture. The use of personal PCs is not allowed.

Official Conference Language

Greek will be the official language of the Congress. Simultaneous translation from Greek to English and vice versa is offered for all lectures of the 6th Forum. No translation will exist in the oral presentation section.

Participant’s Badge

The access to the conference rooms and the exhibition area requires presentation of the participant’s badge. The participants are kindly requested to wear their badges throughout the term of the Forum.

Commercial Exhibition

During the 6th FORUM, a commercial exhibition of veterinary interest products will operate.

Smoking

Smoking is prohibited in all interior areas of the conference center. Participants, who wish to smoke, may use the atrium at the commercial exhibition area.

Mobile Phones

The participants are kindly requested to turn off their mobile phones (or alternatively to activate the silent function) when entering the conference rooms.

All foreign participants can register with the complimentary fee of 80 euros.

Registration to the 6th Forum includes: attendance to the Forum’s main program on 14 & 15 March 2015, four (4) coffee breaks, two (2) light lunches, the conference bag and conference minutes in electronic form.

ACCOMODATION

Participants who wish to stay in Athens during the Forum weekend, should book  their own accommodation. Special rates for the 6th Forum participants have been negotiated
with the following hotels: CIVITEL OLYMPIC (tel.0030 210 6801900) and CIVITEL ATTIK (tel. 0030210 6101000) in Maroussi (reservation desk: 0030 210 6101008 between 10:00-18:00). When checking in, delegates may be required to provide evidence that they are attending the Forum (registration confirmation). Hotel rates are per room per night and breakfast is included (VAT also included). Special prices are valid up to 28/2/2015. Beyond the above date, booking rates will return to their normal range and the Organizational Committee cannot override the hotels’ regular policy.
